How True are You to God?

Do you recognize the Voice of Truth? Do you know what is truth?
The definition of truth is as follows:
the state of being the case : the body of real things, events, and facts: a transcendent fundamental or spiritual reality :a judgment, proposition, or idea that is true or accepted as true.
The last definition is the critical one for Christians to understand. There is the “Truth” and there are things that are “accepted” as truth. How do you tell the difference? Really, there is only one way to know the truth and that is to study your Bible and learn the Truth. We study things when we want to learn things, becoming experts on the things we love. We search out other people who share our interests, surf the web, read anything and everything. We memorize the important stuff and apply it as best we can. Is that how it works with your walk with Jesus? Do we track down every available resource we have to find and share the truth? Do we go to the Source of Truth?
Many times we do not. The Truth can make people uncomfortable. It’s not always well received. Jesus knew that. He experienced that and He told us we should expect the same treatment. If we don’t look for the real Truth, we are missing a real opportunity to experience God. Don’t short change your God experience by following anything other than the real Truth!
